WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko, and Venezuelan challenger Charlie Navarro, were face to face at the official press conference for their fight that is going to be held next Monday in Donestk, Ukraine.
This commitment represents the second defense of the Ukrainian’s black and gold belt. The champion has an unbeaten pro record in 30 ring starts, and 20 of them by knockout.
For his part, Navarro went well prepared and ready to address this major global chance accompanied by coaches Rigoberto Garibaldi, Francisco Arroyo and Dr. Ronyel Rudas. He has a record of 18 wins and three losses with 14 knockouts.
Both fighters asserted to the media who were present at the conference, making it clear that they were ready to fight.
“There is not much difference in height, we’re pretty even and it is important that we get ready,” summarized Navarro.
The authorities in the global fight will be Canadian Guy Jutras who will be the supervisor, referee Steve Smoger undertaking the role as the third man, while the judges who will be responsible for assessing the scores are going to be American Levi Martinez, John Coyle of England, and Juan Manuel Garcia of Spain.
