WBA super flyweight world champion Hugo “Incredible” Cazares has finished the final stage of his training and will only monitor his weight until Friday when he steps on the scale at the official weigh-in for Saturday’s title defense against Alberto Rossel in Mexico. Don Manuel Montiel, head of Cazares’ coaching staff Cazares, said the champion is in great physical and mental condition and he likes the speed and accuracy of his punches. Montiel says they have a perfectly planned strategy for Saturday.”
“We have seen video of the opponent. We are confident in the ability of Hugo so there is no doubt that the fight ends in our favor. Hugo has done well in his career, obeys the directions to the letter so we won’t have no problems with the scale on Friday, much less with the opponent on Saturday,” Montiel said.
For his part, Hugo Cazares says that he feel much better every day.
“Neither the weight nor the height of Mexico City, much less my opponent will be problem. I will win on Saturday, as I said, I am prepared for the twelve rounds but I’m going for the knockout. We have defined the strategy and we will win. I want to finish this fight clean because there are already other plans, but first we must successfully defend my championship on Saturday, otherwise we’ll talk after the fight,” Cazares said.
