The champions Khabib Allakverdiev and Bryan “tiquito” Vasquez are ready to defend World Boxing Association their championship belt this Saturday in Las Vegas.
They both passed the weigh-in ceremony on Friday at the MGM Grand Hotel in the US city.
Allakverdiev made 139.5 lbs and his opponent’s in turn the Californian Jessie Vargas made 140 lbs exact. The Russian will make the second defense of his super lightweight championship in a fight that will have Tony Weeks as referee, and Jerry Roth, and Glenn Feldman, Robert Hoyle as judges said Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Vásquez, interim super featherweight champion, stopped the scale at 130 lbs like his opponent the Mexican José Félix Jr.
The supervisor of both fights is Panamanian Miguel Prado.
