On the boxing show held on Saturday evening in Venezuela, was launched the book “36 monarchs and a Princess” written by the journalist Candido Pérez.
Gilberto Mendoza, President of the World Boxing Association, Nelson Merentes, President of the Central Bank of Venezuela, former world champion Betulio González and the author of the text participated in the launching of the book.
After more than two years of periodicals research, interviews with protagonists and consultations, the work materialized.
The book is a modest vision in the history of Venezuelan professional boxing dedicated to the athletes, managers and public in general.
This book summarizes the chronology of the journey taken by each of the boxers has hold a world championship and begins with the first title-holder, Carlos “morocho” Hernández and ends with Ogleidis “La Niña” Suarez conquest, and includes Alys “La China” Sánchez as the “Princess” who waiting for her title shot.
The book not only talks about the sports área of each champion, it also offers a brief passage review of the personal circumstances that might have influenced his life and career.
