Hiroshi Kobayashi, Juan Manuel Marquez and Denkaosan Kaovichit celebrate another year of life today and the World Boxing Association Family joins the celebration and sends them best wishes.
Kobayashi was born 70 years ago in Gunma, Japan. He was WBA super featherweight world champion from 1967 to 1971 until he was dethroned by the Venezuelan Alfredo Marcano after six successful defenses.
The Mexican Marquez turns 41. He was five-time world champion, winning the black and gold belt twice. He was super featherweight champion from 2003 to 2005 and super lightweight champion from 2009 to 2012.
Kaovichit was born in Thailand, and is celebrating 38 years of life. He was twice WBA flyweight champion from 2008 to 2010 and interim super flyweight champion during 2013-2014.
The three champions have made very high their nationality, and their professionalism and love for the sport, in addition, they have been loyal friends of the WBA. Congratulations champions!
