American Pat Rusell will referee of the World Boxing Association super bantamweight 122-lbs vacant interim title bout, to be disputed on Thursday between the Colombian Oscar Escandon and Canadian Tyson Cave in California, United States.
The judges of the bout are the Americans Tony Crebs, Max de Luca and Raúl Caiz Jr. WBA supervisor will be George Martínez.
This will be the Colombian’s second attempt for a WBA world championship. The first attempt failed before the Venezuelan Nehomar Cermeno by split decision on August 10, 2013; while for Cave, it will be the first opportunity. He owns the NABA title belt since April 2014.
Escandon is 23-1, 16 KO and Cave is 24-2, 8 KO.
