The World Boxing Association super bantamweight interim champion, Colombian Liliana Palmera and her Venezuelan challenger and former champion, Alys “La China” Sánchez step on the scale today in the weigh-in ceremony prior to their fight in Colombia.
Palmera (23-11-3, 15 KO’s) faces her first title defense, while “La China” Sánchez (13-2-1, 4 KO’s) seeks to reign for the second time.
Both fighters assured at the press conference last Tuesday, they are sure to win the bout. The champion said to the press “I will not analyze anything in the first round, I will fight because nobody takes my title from Colombia.”
Palmera said she trust her training, “I have worked so hard with discipline in the last months, when I won the title. Right now I am into my trainings!
The authorities of the fight are Melva Santos (PUR) in the ring, Héctor Afú and VÍctor Simons (PAN) together with Cesar Ramos (PUR) as the judges. Supervisor will be Francisco Piña.
