The WBA Interim 115-lbs flyweight champion, David “tornado” Sanchez and his challenger, Jesus “Topo” Rosas were face to face at the press conference of “the War” on Thursday afternoon in Mexico.

They both promised to shine in the ring, giving a great show to the public and annihilating their opponent. They both said at the Conference held at a restaurant in Plaza Sendero, in Hermosillo, same site for the weighing ceremony this Friday.

Sánchez has 26-2-2, 20 KO’s and will make the first defense of the title while his opponent, “Topo” Rosas has 40-8, 28 KO and this is the first shot for the title.

The champion made it clear that he is satisfied with his training and expects to satisfy his fans with his fight. “I will not fail in front of my people, I trained for more than two months in Los Mochis and I am in the best physical and mental conditions. I trained hard to defend my title”.

Meanwhile, former world champion, “topo” Rosas said the fight will be very intense, and was emphatic in saying that he fight from beginning to end. “I did not come here to win, I came to give “Tornado” the beating of his life”.

Colombian Manuel Rodríguez will referee the fight while, Gustavo Jarquín (NIC), Octavio Rodríguez (PAN) and Alfredo Polanco (MEX) will score it. The supervisor will be Panamanian Miguel Prado.
