The family of the World Boxing Association is deeply sad for the sensitive pass of one of its directors, Alberto Sarmiento and sends its words of sympathy to his wife, Isabel, his daughters, grandchildren and other relatives.

Born on February 5, 1942, Sarmiento, was always friendly and respectful. He was an enthusiastic collaborator of the WBA initiatives, ever since he joined the team in the 70’ after being a very active member of the professional boxing in his beloved Caracas, Venezuela.

He was the Treasurer, in addition to being a member of the WBA supervisor.

Rest in Peace
