The first troop of delegates, representing Canada, Argentina, Panama and Venezuela already arrived and on Wednesday night will have the first activity of the World Boxing Association directory meeting, at the “Kempinski Hotel Marinela” of the city of Sofia, Bulgaria, until next Saturday, June 13, 2015.
La primera tropa de delegados, representando a Canadá, Argentina, Panamá y Venezuela ya arribó y este miércoles por la noche se realizara la primera actividad de la Reunión General de Directorio de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo (AMB), que se está realizando en el “Kempinski Hotel Marinela” de la ciudad de Sofía, Bulgaria, hasta el próximo sábado, 13 de Junio del 2015.
On Tuesday night, the members present shared and enjoyed a dinner, in full boxing camaraderie, that counted with the participation of Panamanian and former four times world champion, Roberto “Hands of Stone” Duran.
El martes por la noche, los presentes fueron organizándose y disfrutaron de una cena, en plena camaradería boxística, que contó con la participación del delegado panameño y ex cuatro veces campeón del mundo, Roberto “Manos de Piedra” Duran.
On Wednesday night will take palce the first formal activity on the agenda, with the “Welcome Cocktail” in the “Silhouette” room at Marinela Hotel, where Gilberto Mendoza will welcome all the delegates, including directors, promoters and leaders of the boxing sport in general
At 9 A.M., tomorrow Thursday, will take place the opening ceremony of the World Boxing Association Directorate meeting, where the official quorum will be determined and then they will start the first proceedings related to the the WBA renders the world of Boxing. They will review the activity from the last directorate meeting (Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico), the last World Convention (Lima, Peru), Treasury and its various committees update, including world championships, ratings committee, Legal, legislative committee among others.
Also the different directors of the regional bodies affiliated to the WBA, including PABA, NABA, PAFBA, Fedelatin, Intercontinental, and female boxing will submit their activity reports, as well as a balance of its timeliness, plans and projections, among other issues.
During this WBA Directorate meeting, on Friday, June 12, there will be a seminar for European judges and referees. Luis Pabon (Puerto Rico), Gustavo Padilla (Panama) and Raul Caiz Senior. (USA) will conduct the seminar.
