Twenty-three-year-old Puerto Rican bantamweight Emmanuel “Manny” Rodriguez has signed with famed manager and adviser Al Haymon, and will be promoted by Warriors Boxing Promotions.

The undefeated prospect (13-0, 9 KOs) is a three-year pro who most recently fought in August, winning the vacant WBA Fedelatin bantamweight title by knocking out Alex Rangel in the seventh. As an amateur, Rodriguez took the silver at the 2010 Youth World Amateur Boxing Championships, becoming the second Puerto Rican in a row to win a medal in the flyweight division. The island’s flag-bearer at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, which also took place in 2010, he became that event’s first flyweight champ. Rodriguez is sixth-ranked by the WBA.

Manny will have his U.S. debut on November 25 in Hialeah, Florida, against an opponent who has yet to be named. The fight will air on ESPN.

“For me, it is a dream come true, fighting on ESPN,” says Rodriguez. “I want to be very impressive.”

Says manager Juan Orengo, “Emmanuel is an exceptional talent and signing with Warriors and Al Haymon will propel his career to a world title in a very short time.”
