According to KCal9 in Los Angeles, former WBA/WBC/IBF welterweight champion Shane Mosley (49-9-1, 41 KOs), the future Hall-of-Famer from Pomona, California, is being hailed for saving a bleeding infant from a four-car collision on a highway in LA.
Mosley and his girlfriend called 911 and got the baby out of the car.
“We took the baby out of the car seat,” said Mosley. “The baby was crying and bleeding in the mouth. His neck was bruised.”
Mosley followed the ambulance to the hospital.
“You don’t know if the car is going to catch fire, what’s going to happen, then seeing there’s a baby in there…” Mosley told CBS. “He (the father) was crying and saying, ‘You guys are like an angel, and thank you for helping me and being there for me and protecting my son.’
“He was very, very thankful.”
Mosley gave the family free tickets to his May 28 fight at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, against David Avanesyan for the interim WBA World welterweight title.
Win, lose or draw, you gotta hand it to Shane Mosley.
He’s a champion all the way.
