The calendar of great championship fights of the World Boxing Association continues and this weekend is the WBA lightweight champion, Jorge Linares’ to defend his belt against the Brit Anthony Crolla in Manchester.
On Thursday took place the last press conference before the great night. Linares and Crolla were with their representatives and spoke about what they expect to be a better fight than their previous one of last September when Linares defeated Crolla in a great fight.
“On Saturday night you will see a better Jorge Linares” said the champion to the press. “I know once again I have everyone against me in his backyard, but that’s why I trained hard in Japan and Las Vegas. I can’t wait” stated the Venezuelan.
The local could not win their September fight in spite of fighting in his backyard, and having a series of important victories when he fought the South American the first time, however he is convinced this time it will be different. “I’ve always been better going in as the underdog. I will show a better version of me. I’ll get my belt back”.
The official weigh-in will take place in the morning for South America and on Saturday the will fight for WBA champ.
