The fight between Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez and Gennady Golovkin for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Middleweight Super Championship begins to heat up. Both boxers held a meeting with the fans and the press in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, where they began to give the first verbal blows.

“Canelo” referred to the punch of his opponent. He said: “I respect him, he has a good punch, but nothing out of this world”. GGG said that he wants the Mexican to “stop and fight him” this time. However, what began with a lot of respect, little by little, heated up. One of the top moments of the night was between Canelo and Abel Sanchez: “You promised that he was going to knock me out and he didn’t do anything to me, you’re the one who opens your mouth more because your boxer doesn’t even speak”, Álvarez said to Sánchez, who answered in a strong way: “don’t run next time and we’ll see”.

In the same line, José “Chepo” Reynoso, El Colorado’s trainer, said: “we don’t have to talk. On the day of the fight they will be the ones to talk with their gloves in the ring”.

This second battle is for some a rematch and for others a tiebreaker, because the first battle held on September 16th ended in a draw.
