Venezuelan Carlos Cañizales and Japanese Reiya Konishi passed their medical examination this Friday morning in Japan. Now, the only requirement left for them to complete before their combat is the weigh-in ceremony that will take place this Saturday, March 17th.
“I am in excellent physical condition and I have confidence in my left hook and my straight rights. The fight will be spectacular. The most important thing is that I will become the winner of the fight. I am sure that I can win, either by decision or by KO”, Cañizales told the Japanese press.
Konishi holds an immaculate record of 15 wins, 5 of them by knockout. On the other hand, the Venezuelan has won 19 bouts, he has not lost, has tied one and has knocked out 16 times.
