WBA # 5 flyweight Ratanapol Sor Vorapin (59-7-1,48 KOs) successfully grabbed the vacant PABA flyweight title as he stopped PABA # 8 Wido Paez of Indonesia on Thursday at Tana-ard Boxing Stadium in Kuankanun, Pattalung, Thailand. This was an impressive performance of the Thailander who lost his PABA crown last year against Filipino Richard Garcia in a majority decision but he took an opportunity again after coming back with a surprising 1st round victory Noriyuki Komatsu on February 8 in Japan. Both fighters entertained the crowd by violently exchanging punches since the opening round and Ratanapol did better with his more tough and accurate punches which rapidly weakened his foe. Finally, the show was finished as the Thai fighter dropped the Indonesian twice with his vicious bodyshots and impressively scored a full ten-count KO at the middle of round three. In other action, WBA # 3 light flyweight Wisanu Pornobnom (30-7-2,11 KOs) easily destroyed Indonesian PABA # 15 Agus Situmorang with his vicious body attack in round two, retaining his PABA 108 lb crown for the fourth time.
