The champion Dmitry Bivol left no doubt of his supremacy in the ring and in the division by defeating the Haitian born Canadian resident Jean Pascal by wide unanimous decision to stay once again with the World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight champion over 12 dominating rounds in the Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City.

Bivol won on the scorecards 119-109, 117-111 and 119-109 to remain arguably the number one fighter to follow in the category of 175 pounds in which he will surely be able to unify next year before other world champions after having fulfilled successfully his third defense this year.

Dmitry improved his professional record to 15-0 with 11 knockouts against a man who was eager and trying hard but who had only fleeting instances of hope over the course of the entire fight to the world champion who responded to Pascals sudden outbursts of activity when it was demanded, but in the end took a very clear victory in the ring.

At the end of the fight Bivol said he would love to face Eleider Alvarez or Badou Jack, who is ranked second in the weight class by the WBA, and with whom he could mount a very solid fight to start 2019 that the public would love to see.
