International referee Gustavo Padilla of Panama gave a seminar to judges from Venezuela this Friday. With a very clear objective, the World Boxing Association (WBA) has put all its effort into the training of judges and referees and this type of activity enhances this intention.
From the headquarters of the Ministry of the Popular Power for Sport of the South American country, where the president and a team of the WBA met with the Venezuelan Minister, Pedro Infante, Padilla’s talk was also held to more than 30 Venezuelan referees assistants.
“The most important thing in this is to be always in constant learning. One can never stop learning because the times ahead require new challenges and the authorities must be updated to do the best job in the fights,” said Padilla from the crowded Salon Francisco Morochito Rodriguez.
Those who attended the seminar had the opportunity to hear experiences and data from an international referee, who has been in many world title fights around the world. They also had the chance to ask questions and clarify certain doubts regarding the performance of their duties.
The WBA continues to focus on training and is pleased to reach all corners of the world to make boxing a better sport.
