Panama and the boxing world were impressed by the official presentation of the documentary of Roberto “Hands of Stone” Duran. On Tuesday morning, in Panama City, the idol of a whole continent presented the audiovisual produced by Universal and named “I am Duran”.
The documentary tells the story of the life and career of the Panamanian fighter, based on a great research work supported by important people who witnessed the life of the legend of El Chorrillo. People like Bob Arum, Sugar Ray Leonard and even Sylvester Stallone share their testimony to recreate Duran’s story that is always worth remembering.
Panamanian press representatives attended the presentation and had the opportunity to talk with Duran, who hosted those present, spoke about the project and, of course, about his career and his experiences inside and outside the ring.
“I do not know how to thank the world, because if we talk about boxing, I owe it to the world. I started my career in Panama, but most of it was in the United States and everything I’ve done in the United States made its way around the world. I feel happy for always doing good and all my best for Panama. Thanks to boxing I know almost half of the world and have made great friends. I am very happy with that”, said the eloquent champion.
The World Boxing Association (WBA) accompanies and celebrates every project of Duran, who is a star, a close friend and whom the WBA has supported and respected strengthening the relationship over the years.
