The Japanese Hiroto Kyoguchi retained his Super World Heavyweight Championship (WBA) by defeating Tanawat Nakoon by unanimous decision at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

The Japanese got cards of 117-111, 117-112 and 117-111, to obtain a wide victory but very worked. As is usual in the fighters of Thailand, Nakoon was very insistent throughout the fight and showed his desire to keep the black belt and gold at all times.

However, Kyoguchi was not willing to give up at home and had a little more order to get the best part in exchanges and thus completed the first defense of his crown. The Osaka native had conquered his crown on December 31 with a triumph over the South African Hekkie Budler and ratified his world championship in his first defense against a pretty tough opponent.

The 25-year-old monarch is still undefeated in his professional career after 13 bouts, including 9 knockouts. Meanwhile, Nakoon, who also had a perfect record so far, lost his first fight and has 11 wins, 5 of them defined before the last bell.
