This Saturday, November 23rd, Leo Santa Cruz and Miguel Flores will be fighting for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super World Super Featherweight Title. Meanwhile, on the same fight card, Brandon Figueroa will be defending his WBA World Super Bantamweight Title against Julio Ceja.

The fights will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be broadcast on FOX Sports PPV. The WBA title bouts will be part of the card that makes up the heavyweight fight featuring a rematch between Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz.

Leo Santa Cruz will be entering a new weight division for his showdown against Flores. Santa Cruz last fought in February, earning a unanimous decision victory against Rafael Rivera. Santa Cruz will be attempting to grab a world title in his fourth weight class, which would be a truly monumental achievement.

Flores, on the other hand, will be entering the Santa Cruz bout having last fought in June against Luis May, whom he stopped via TKO. This will be Flores’ first time fighting for a world title.

Leo Santa Cruz will be entering the ring with a record of 36 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw, and 19 victories coming via knockout. Flores, on the other hand, will be entering the ring with a record of 24 wins, 2 losses, and 12 victories via knockout.

On the same fight card Brandon Figueroa will be entering the ring for the first defense of his WBA title that he won in August when he knocked out Javier Chacon in his native Texas. His opponent, Ceja, is an experienced veteran of Mexican descent who has 36 professional fights at only 27 years of age.

Figueroa will be entering the ring with a record of 20 wins, no losses, and 15 victories coming via knockout. Ceja, on the other hand, will be entering the ring with a record of 32 wins, 4 losses, with 28 victories coming via knockout.

Yet to be completed for fight week for both fights on this Las Vegas card are the final press conference, public workout, and weigh-in ceremonies.
