A promising boxing event will have as its main attraction the Argentine Alberto Palmetta, who will be fighting for the WBA-International Welterweight belt against local American boxer Tre’Sean Wiggins. The venue will be the Ballroom at the Hard Rock Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA, this Saturday August 15th, promoted by Payne Boxing and Christy Martin Promotions.
A fight of two southpaws that will surely be explosive, and where strategy will prevail. The Argentine Beto Palmetta has settled in West Palm Beach since the beginning of 2018 in pursuit of an improvement in his career. His last three fights last year were finished before the limit. This will be his first fight in 2020. His record is 13 wins with 9 KOs and 1 loss. For his part, Wiggins has a total of 11 wins, 4 losses and 3 draws.
Beto made a long amateur career with 129 fights in which his greatest achievement was a bronze medal at the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games and his participation in Rio 2016 Olympic Games. He also had a very good performance as part of the Argentine team Condors within the World Series Boxing.
On the other hand, Trigger Wiggins, native of Newburgh, New York, made his debut in 2010 by KO in the first round and, since then, has mostly fought in the Super Lightweight division. He comes from a tough clash with fellow countryman Mykquan Williams, whose undefeated record was tinted with a draw. Wiggins can be difficult because of his height and reach that gives him mid and long-distance power. Undoubtedly it will be an interesting fight of these two April-born 30 year old boxers with hopes of reaching the top of the boxing world.
