Kazakhstan’s Daulet Daukenov won the World Boxing Association (WBA) East Asia Super Lightweight title by defeating Ukraine’s Nazri Rahimov by unanimous decision on Thursday at the Falcon Club in Minsk, Belarus.
Daukenov showed his dominance in the ring during all the rounds and took the unanimous decision with cards of 100-90, 100-90 and 100-90.
The 27-year-old fighter achieved an important victory which contributes a lot to his goal of moving up in the world rankings. He fought Rahimov, a younger 19-year-old boxer and used his experience to win the fight.
Daukenov’s record is 8 victories, 1 defeat and 3 KOs, while Rahimov’s record is 6 victories, 2 losses and 3 KOs.
