Belmar Preciado scored a knockout in the first round against Rodolfo Hernandez and became the new WBA-Fedecentro Interim Super Bantamweight Champion.
The Colombian boxer made a brilliant performance after only 19 seconds of the main fight of the event organized by All Star Boxing at the Osceola Heritage Park, in Kissimmee, Florida.
The two boxers went out in a frantic exchange when the South American boxer managed to land a perfect hook to the liver that caused a scream of pain by the Mexican, who was immediately sent to the canvas and could not recover while the referee gave him the 10-second count.
Preciado, who had come from a tough defeat two months ago against Dennis Contreras, regained the lead and won the WBA regional title. His record is now 21 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw, and 14 KOs.
For his part, “Fofo” Hernández now has a record of 30 wins, 10 setbacks, 1 draw, and 28 KOs.
