In the preliminary presentation of the fight between the Mexican Saul “El Canelo” Alvarez and the British Callum “Mundo” Smith, we review the numbers harvested by the Smith brothers’ dynasty in their appearances in the United States.

Stephen Smith, 35, is the second of the brothers has a record of 28-4, 15 KO’s. In his performances within the U.S., he has not savored the victory. First he lost by decision to the Puerto Rican Jose Pedraza in 2016 and later he was defeated by technical decision in nine rounds by the Aztec Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas in 2017.
The third in line is Liam Smith (32) and a record of 29-2-1, 16 KO’s. Coincidentally, his first fight in the land of the stars and stripes was against Saul “El Canelo” Alvarez, losing by knockout in 9 rounds in 2016. In his second performance against Jaime Munguia, he was defeated by points in 2018 and his only victory in the US has been against Roberto Garcia by unanimous decision in 2019.
The fourth and youngest of the clan is Callum Smith, 30 years old, with an undefeated record of 27 victories and 19 knockouts. He has never been defeated in his only two appearances in the USA. In his first fight in 2014, he finished with Abraham Hernandez by knockout in the first round. In his second appearance he stopped Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam by technical knockout in three rounds in 2019.
Taking the numbers out cold, the Smith brothers have had 9 performances in the United States, with a balance of 5 losses and 4 victories.
Callum Smith will have the opportunity to improve that streak if he achieves his victory over “Canelo” Alvarez on Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, United States.
