American Kali Reis won the World Boxing Association (WBA) Female Boxer of the Month award thanks to her excellent performance in defense of her 140 lbs. crown.
The WBA’s August women’s rankings were published at the beginning of the month and with it the award that Reis won thanks to her victory over Diana Prazak on August 20, in El Cajon, California.
The 35-year-old veteran made her first defense of the black and gold belt against the Australian and used all her tools to win a unanimous decision against a tough and challenging fighter.
Reis improved her record to 18 wins, 7 losses, 1 draw and 5 knockouts. Now, she looks forward to new challenges to defend her title.
