Mexican Victor Betancourt and Puerto Rican Miguel Angel Marrero will fight for the vacant WBA Fedecentro lightweight title on Friday at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida.
It will be the main event of the All Star Boxing evening and a nice opportunity to rekindle the rivalry between Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Betancourt is 30 years old and has fought good opponents such as Emiliano Marsili and Jaime Arboleda. The Mexicali native has won five of his last six fights and has earned the opportunity to be in this regional title fight.
For his part, the Puerto Rican Marrero is 32 years old and has a good lifetime record. For him it will be a great test and an opportunity to give a blow on the table and move up in the boxing world.
The Mexican has a record of 27 wins, 3 losses and 14 knockouts, while the Puerto Rican has 9 wins, 1 loss, 2 draws and 4 knockouts.
