Spain’s Sandor Martin will return to the ring on April 1st to fight for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) super lightweight international belt against Mexico’s Jose Felix at the Palau Olímpic Vall d’Hebron, in Barcelona, Spain.
Martin’s last fight was one of the most impressive of his career in which he gave another great victory to his country’s boxing against Mikey Garcia on October 16. The 28-year-old southpaw fighter has proven that he can compete against anyone at 140 pounds and his return to the ring at home is a great reward for the work he has been doing.
Since 2017, Martin has not lost and has 10 straight wins in an obvious demonstration of the great moment he is living. He is ranked fourth in the WBA ranking and if he gets this regional title he would get closer to his goal of fighting for the world crown.
His opponent, Jose Felix, is looking for a surprise and return to the winning ways. The 29-year-old from Los Mochis boxer was defeated by unanimous decision against Tyrone McKenna in August of last year.
The bout will be the main event organized by Matchroom Boxing. The “Arrasandor” Martin has a record of 39 wins, 2 losses and 13 knockouts. Felix has 39 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw and 30 knockouts.
