Heavyweight Kevin Lerena showed off at the Emperors Palace, Kempton Park, in Gauteng, South Africa, and scored a knockout over veteran Bogdan Dinu in the fourth round of their fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental belt.
In a bout that did not look easy on paper, Lerena managed to settle effectively with a spectacular knockout over the Romanian to the euphoria of the large crowd present to see the home fighter.
A straight right hand was the key to ending a fight that Lerena dominated from the start and took one way until the end.
The 29-year-old South African continues on the winning track and has not lost a fight since 2014. He accumulates a total of 27 wins, barely 1 failed and 15 defined by way of the dream.
Dinu, meanwhile, received the fourth defeat of his career, for 20 wins and 16 knockouts.
