World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight champion, Lithuanian Eimantas Stanionis, received his belt from the pioneering organization on Thursday after his victory over Radzhab Butaev last Saturday, in Arlington, Texas.
Stanionis celebrated the arrival of his belt and thanked the WBA for the quick delivery through his social media with a photo shoot along with the belt.
The European put on a great show last weekend and dominated Butaev by split decision to make it clear that he is one of the top fighters at 147 pounds and that he wants to face the best in the category.
The WBA congratulates the new champion and looks forward to his upcoming engagements going forward.
