Jennifer “Tormenta” Miranda will return to the ring on Monday, May 9, to defend her World Boxing Association (WBA) continental featherweight championship against Sayda Mosquera at the Lope De Vega Theater in Madrid, Spain.
This will be the first defense of her regional belt against a Panamanian who is also a former world title challenger, so the fight promises a lot of action and excitement.
Miranda defeated Jorgelina Guanini by unanimous decision on December 12 to win the black and gold belt. The Cadiz native now return to fight in the city to defend the belt.
Mosquera will be making her comeback after a significant period of inactivity. The Central American fighter is undoubtedly a quality fighter, but she will have to prove that she is in fighting rhythm in her visit to the old continent.
Miranda has 6 wins, no losses and 1 knockout, while the visitor has 9 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 6 knockouts.
