Erick “Minipacman” Rosa will return to the ring next July 15 in Santo Domingo to defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) minimum title against Panamanian Carlos Ortega.

The 22-year-old Dominican will make the first defense of the belt, which he won in December against Filipino Vic Saludar in his own country.

Ortega will have a golden opportunity for his career and will try to spoil the the night to the fighter. Ortega has in his favor the experience and the fact that he has faced several tough opponents, but he will have to deal with a strong champion with a lot of skills.

Rosa has a record of 5 wins, no losses and 1 knockout. Ortega has 15 wins, 6 losses, 3 draws and 3 knockouts.
