World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Minimumweight Champion, Thailand’s Thammanoon Niyomtrong will make a new defense of his title against Thai veteran Chayaphon Moonsri on July 20 in Chonburi, Thailand.
Niyomtrong, who has more than ten defenses in a row, will return to the ring to try to retain his 105-pound title. The monarch defeated Robert Paradero in December by technical knockout to extend his undefeated record and reign.
Moonsri is a opponent that has been in demand for a long time for Niyomtrong. The former world champion has a new opportunity and he plans to take advantage of it to add another victory to his record. After losing twice to Panya Pradabsri he aims to return to the top in this bout.
Niyomtrong has 23 wins without defeat and 9 knockouts. Moosri has 55 wins, 2 setbacks and 19 knockouts.
