Naoya Inoue was named Boxer of the Month by the World Boxing Association (WBA) while Devin Haney took Honorable Mention in the span.

The pioneer organization published its June rankings lists with all the corresponding changes in each weight division, and the Japanese was awarded the top honor after his resounding victory over Nonito Donaire on June 7, in Saitama.

Inoue made his power felt and defeated Donaire in just two rounds during the rematch to confirm himself as the best bantamweight in the world, retain his WBA Super Championship and remain one of the best pound-for-pound fighters of the moment.

For his part, Devin Haney won the Honorable Mention thanks to his victory over George Kambosos, snatching the four lightweight belts to become the undisputed champion.  The 23-year-old American traveled to Australia and as a visitor dominated the former champion with a beautiful boxing performance to become the youngest fighter in history to win all the belts.

The WBA rankings for the month of June can be reviewed on the WBA website in the corresponding section.
