Uwel Hernandez became the World Boxing Association (WBA) continental super middleweight champion with a unanimous decision victory over Kamer Maloku on Friday at the Historische Stadthalle, Wuppertal, Germany.
The judges’ scorecards were 98-92, 97-94 and 97-95, in favor of the Cuban-born fighter of German nationality, a great victory for his career.
Hernandez displayed his best boxing and used his combinations well to dominate a tough opponent like the Kosovan, who did not give him an easy night.
Hernandez continues to climb in his career and now has 14 wins, 1 loss and 7 knockouts. Maloku was left with a record of 16 wins, 3 setbacks and 13 knockouts.
