Cameroon’s Rolly Lambert and Thailand’s Nattapon Plangpimai made weight for their World Boxing Association (WBA) Asian cruiserweight championship fight to be held this Wednesday at the RCA Plaza, Bangkok.
Lambert and Plangpimai did not have too many problems during the weigh-in ceremony as they were bellow the 200-pound limit established by the category. In the case of the African, he weighed in at 199.2 pounds, while the Asian stopped the scales at 199 pounds exactly.
Lambert comes into this bout on a hot streak. The 33-year-old fighter has won 11 fights in a row, 10 of those by knockout, so he looks like a favorite.
However, Plangpimai will have the home advantage and is also riding a seven-fight winning streak, six of those by knockout.
The Cameroonian has a record of 13 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 11 knockouts, while the Thai has a record of 16 wins, 2 losses and 13 knockouts.
