This week will be marked by the return of former lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez. The American will test in a new category and will face Pedro Campa in the main event fight to be held this Saturday at Resorts World Las Vegas.
“The Takeover” has taken his time after his last loss to George Kambosos and nine months later he is ready to jump to super lightweight and start a new path with the goal of becoming world champion again.
The Honduran descent fighter is just 25 years old and is one of the strongest and most impressive fighters the lightweight has seen in recent years.
His 140-pound debut will be against 30-year-old Mexican Campa, who has a lot of professional experience. The Sonora native hasn’t lost a fight since 2017 and is looking to spoil Lopez’s party this weekend.
Teofimo has a record of 16 wins, 1 loss and 12 knockouts, while Campa has 34 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw and 23 knockouts.
