Dmitry Bivol and Gilberto Ramirez had their first face-to-face at the press conference to present their fight on November 5 for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Light Heavyweight Championship in Abu Dhabi.
The conference was well attended by local and international journalists, who gathered to cover the first exchange of words between the two fighters with just over two months to go until the fight.
Bivol was asked about his future plans and the possibilities he has for his career, but the champion assured that his eyes are focused on this fight: “I am only focused on this fight. All the time I’m thinking about this fight. Of course I have big plans in my head, I want to fight the great fighters of the world and have more belts but now I have a big fight against a great fighter.”
Ramirez praised his opponent and assured that this is the big fight he has been waiting for a long time. He stressed that his undefeated record in 44 fights is not a fluke and that it will stay that way after November 5 when they step into the ring.
The promotion for the fight will continue in the coming days as both intensify their training rhythms ahead of the November fight.
