Usyk continues to support his country

Oleksandr Usyk has been committed to his country at all times since the conflict between Ukraine and Russia broke out this year. The World Boxing Association (WBA) Heavyweight Super Champion was in his country supporting the soldiers defending it from the invasion in a grand gesture.

In an interview with Talk Sports, his manager Egis Klismas said that Usyk went to one of the battle fronts to be present and give encouragement to the men who were there.

It should be recalled that the champion had actively joined the defense of his country as a soldier but received a special leave in full exercise to defend his championship. The Ukrainian government and Usyk’s entourage pushed for him to return to boxing and put his flag up.

After defeating Anthony Joshua in August and while there is speculation about his next fight, he has wanted to support his compatriots and be closely attentive to everything that happens in a great act of kindness and commitment.
