Puerto Rican legend Miguel Cotto will attend the Centennial Convention of the World Boxing Association (WBA), to be held from December 11 to 14 at the Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

The former world champion confirmed his attendance to the event that promises to be one of the most important in recent years as it celebrates 100 years of existence but breaks history to begin a new era for the future. 

Cotto was champion in four divisions: super lightweight, welterweight, super welterweight and middleweight. His career began in 2001 and lasted until 2017 in 16 years in which he left a great legacy and gave great fights to the fans.

He was always known for his left hook, his boxing control and his determination in the ring. “Cotto” was always willing to face the best and his fights against Floyd Mayweather, Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao, Saul Alvarez, Shane Mosley, Paulie Malignaggi, among others, are remembered.

In addition to all the glory he had in the ring, Cotto has also stood out as a promoter and right now he is one of the most important in his country. He has sought to promote Puerto Rican talent and give them international projection in a great job in recent years.
