William Zepeda and Joseph Diaz made their public workouts on Wednesday on the eve of their World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight eliminator fight this Saturday at the Pechanga Arena, in San Diego, California.

The press was well present at the event, which had both contenders in the ring doing some work with their teams and posing for the cameras.

Zepeda, 26, will have a big test in this bout and wants to make it clear that he is one of the most promising young fighters in the division. He did some gauntlets and demonstrated his power along with his trainer during his session in front of the crowd.

“Jo Jo” also worked smoothly and assured that he is ready for a big comeback after losing to Devin Haney last year. The veteran is a strong opponent and always gives great fights, also has a great record that gives him an advantage over his opponent.

Now they have the official press conference and the weigh-in ceremony, in which both must weigh 135 pounds this Friday to be cleared for the fight.
