David Morell and Aidos Yerbossynuly promised victory at their final press conference held Thursday at Armory in Minneapolis. On Saturday they will step into the ring to fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight championship in a very interesting bout that promises good action.
Morrell, title holder, showed great confidence ahead of the bout and assured that he has never been as good as he is now, so he has no doubt that he will come out with the victory and retain the title.
“I’m going to show the rest of the division what’s in store for them. I predict a knockout in the eighth round. I’m going to step into the ring as the best version of myself,” said the one from Cuba.
Yerbossynuly was no less confident than the champion. His confidence and motivation were evident during his intervention and he promised that the WBA belt will pass into his hands.
“I’m here to hunt Morrell down and take that belt home. If he is promising something to his fans, he might have to apologize to them after losing,” the Kazakh stressed.
This Friday afternoon they will have the official weigh-in and on Saturday night they will step into the ring in the main fight of the TGB Promotions event.
