The World Boxing Association (WBA) has been closely monitoring the situation of Aidos Yerbossynuly, who has been hospitalized in a Minnesota facility after his fight against David Morrell last Saturday.
The Kazakh fighter had a tough fight against the Cuban and lost by knockout in the 12th round after an action-packed fight in which he put all his heart into trying to get the victory.
Different reports had noted since Sunday that Yerbossynuly had been placed in an induced coma and that his condition was being monitored by medical personnel. This Sunday, Suleimen Promotions, Yerbossynuly’s promoter, issued a statement confirming that the fighter is hospitalized and that doctors report that his life is not endangered.
Aidos will be kept under observation for the next two weeks while waiting to see how he evolves. The Kazakh’s team requested respect for his family’s privacy at this time.
The WBA will keep an eye on what happens and hopes that Yerbossynuly’s recovery will be quick and satisfactory. In addition, it asks the entire boxing world to put him in their prayers.
