In the World Boxing Association Centennial Convention, art will also be part of the occasion to enhance the aesthetic and cultural values of boxing. The artist Patrick J. Killian will exhibit his works at the great Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
A hypnosis, a delight, a state of admiration that reminds us of a punch or a great battle through deep colors applied with brushstrokes of passion and reality. Something like this is what Killian’s work generates when we stop to look at it. A realistic work done with exquisite strokes has reached around the world to transmit and share his love for the noble art of boxing.
Patrick Killian mainly exhibits much of his boxing-based work today, in several art galleries in some states of North America and in other countries. However, we will highlight the MGM Grand in Las Vegas where Canelo v Bivol is exhibited. The painting is signed by both fighters on the stage of the final press conference. There, Eddy Reynoso bought the original for May 2022. We could name countless paintings made by Killian. And this great artist will attend the 100th birthday of the pioneering organization.
In addition, as part of his history, Killian sold his first painting at the age of 15. He made 45 amateur fights being victorious on 35 occasions. When he thought about becoming a professional boxer, he decided to retire, since he had to take care of his hands to devote himself to his other passion: painting, art. And fortunately, that was the case.
It will be an honor to enjoy his words and his work with the great family of the WBA.
