Nasiyiwula makes comeback against Montano in Dubai

China’s Baishanbo Nasiyiwula will face Filipino Joepher Montano this Saturday at the RCC Forum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asian welterweight belt.

The fight will mark the comeback of Nasiyiwula, a former continental champion of several organizations with experience fighting in the United States who has not fought since 2020. Possessing good boxing and a good record, he is looking to restart his career and doing so by contesting a regional belt is great news for him and his aspirations.

He will face a great puncher like Montano, who has knocked out 12 of 13 opponents he has defeated. The Filipino is on a 3-fight winning streak, all of them by knockout and his last fights have been in the United Arab Emirates, so this place is nothing new for him.

It will be a very interesting fight and full of question marks, especially because of the inactivity of the Chinese, who will test if he can withstand the punching of an opponent like Montano.

Nasiyiwula’s record is 17 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 7 knockouts, while Montano has a record of 13 wins, 5 losses, 2 draws and 12 knockouts.
