Former world champion Jamie Mitchell will return to the ring on March 31 to face Lindsay Garbatt for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) International bantamweight title at the Kendal G. L. Isaacs National Gymnasium in Nassau, Bahamas.

The American is looking to get back on track after losing her title to Nina Hughes in November of last year. It was a defeat that she considered a surprise but now she is ready for her comeback and nothing better than doing it for the regional belt.

Facing her will be Canadian Garbatt, who comes to a fight in which she has nothing to lose and intends to surprise. She has faced several experienced opponents, including Jelena Mrdjenovich, so she has the experience to face this commitment.

Mitchell comes in with a record of 8 wins, 1 loss, 2 draws and 5 knockouts, while Garbatt has 9 wins, 9 setbacks, 2 draws and 3 knockouts.
