Ryan Garcia held a public workout on Tuesday as part of the promotion for his fight against World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight champion Gervonta Davis on Saturday, April 22.
The Maloof Mansion in Beverly Hills served as the venue for the event, which had Garcia and his team showing some of their skills to the press in attendance.
His bout against Gervonta will not have the WBA title on the line and will take place at a 136-pound catchweight. However, it is the most important of his career and he wants to walk out with his hand up.
Garcia spoke especially about his left hook. He feels it is the tool that will give him success in such a complicated fight and believes Gervonta will have trouble with his curving jab all night long.
The American looked confident, cracking jokes and laughing as he displayed his speed and movement on the ring. There is just over a week to go until the highly anticipated clash and Las Vegas is starting to heat up.
