Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia are two of the most impressive talents at lightweight. Two young fighters who are undefeated and going through a great time will step into the ring at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to face each other in a fight agreed at 136 pounds this Saturday night.

The fight is the most highly publicized of the year so far and on paper looks pretty evenly matched because of what both have been able to show in their careers. 

Gervonta is the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight champion although his title will not be on the line this time around. Davis is coming into a fight he has been looking for and wanting for many months, so he is very motivated and eager to show his talent in the ring.

The 28-year-old southpaw fighter comes from defeating Hector Garcia to defend his crown on January 7, a fight that preceded this confrontation against Ryan. On that occasion he forced the Dominican opponent to retire in round 9 after a dominant performance. 

Ryan Garcia last fought in July 2022, when he defeated Javier Fortuna by knockout in six rounds. “King Ry,” who is 24 years old, has been recovering from various problems and has made a full return to boxing, which is great news for the sport.
