WBA Scores, an application developed by the World Boxing Association, was used last December in Jamaica, in the WBA Featherweight vacant title between Nicholas Walters and Daulis Prescott. This was a big test for the system, which is now in a depuration phase.
WBA Scores is an electronic scores application, for mobile devices, developed by the WBA, which has the ability to store in a database the scores of fights at the time they are scored, and allows to calculate the results based on points. In addition, it can operate with both the 10-point system and the half-point.
By storing the scores in a database, it can display the score of every fight live online. Every four rounds it will also broadcast the score. In addition, at the end of the fights, the system will generate a series of statistical data that can be accessed from the new WBA website.
With the launch of the application, other characteristics of this innovative system will be revealed.
