Antioquia’s John Lenon Gutierrez added another professional victory by knocking out Eddy Maita this Saturday during the third evening of the WBA Future of the Colombian Boxing project, which was held in Barranquilla, Colombia.

Gutierrez worked with patience and order with punches to the leather and good combinations to the face against an opponent with good technique but who did not withstand the attack of the home fighter. After a knockdown, the referee decided that the fight would not continue in the third round and the victory was decreed in favor of the undefeated Colombian.

In the same evening, Paulina Angel defeated Jessica Racedo by unanimous decision in six rounds of good action that ended with cards of 59-55, 59-55 and 58-56.

For his part, former world title contender Rober Barrera knocked out Elkin Rosario to continue his winning ways. Dormedes Potes also defeated Wilman Contreras by knockout in an action-packed, hard-hitting fight, while Venezuelan Isaac Arias returned to knock out Omny Padilla in two rounds during their lightweight clash.

Super featherweight Omar Prens knocked out Camilo Gutierrez in one round for his second professional win, while featherweight Daniel Padilla got his first professional win against Edgardo Jose Garcia.

The event also featured several amateur fights in which several national talents had the opportunity to gain experience and use these bouts as preparation for upcoming competitions.
